The Mississippi Genealogical Society (MGS) meets on the third (3rd) Saturdays January, March, May, September, and November at 1:30 p.m. For many years we have met at the Municipal Art Gallery in Jackson, Mississippi (839 North State Street). Due to the current pandemic, society meetings have been put on hold, although starting May 15, 2021, we hope to resume meetings with appropriate social distancing.
The highlight of the year for many years has been our annual seminar, typically held in lieu of our meeting in January. We have been privileged to host a wide variety of incredibly talented and knowledgeable speakers over the years, including Phillip Adderley, Judy Russell, Barbara Vines Little, Robert Scott Davis, Paula Stuart Warren and Mark Lowe. This is a day-long learning event for researchers of all experience and skill level.
