Every ancestor has a story worth telling!
For our October meeting, we're doing something a little different! Instead of our usual guest presentation, we're inviting members and guests to share stories about the people who came before us.
We encourage everyone to choose an ancestor who may not have received the recognition they deserve. Perhaps it's a hardworking grandmother, a courageous pioneer, a relative who overcame extraordinary challenges, or someone whose quiet contributions made a lasting difference.
We invite you to share their story with us!
Each participant will have approximately 5–7 minutes to tell us about their chosen ancestor. Photographs, family heirlooms, documents, and other memorabilia are encouraged, but certainly not required.
Whether you've been researching for decades or are just beginning your family history journey, we'd love to hear your stories!
For those joining us in person, we'll also enjoy a Thanksgiving potluck together!
Everyone is encouraged to bring a favorite dish, side, salad, or dessert to share. It's a wonderful opportunity to enjoy good food, great company, and the friendships that make our genealogical community special.
